Before signing on, business founders should ask themselves if the product or service is absolutely necessary or if they can get by without it.
Capital preservation is critical when a business is in an embryonic stage. The small business founder should take great care to preserve capital. I have seen too many small businesses spend foolishly and eat the capital the company needs to survive. A savvy entrepreneur learns to make do with less.
